A three day workshop was held on June 27-29, 2013 at the Graylyn International Conference Center (www.graylyn.com). The theme of the workshop was "Conclusions about Character: Results from Psychology, Philosophy, and Theology," and coincided with the end of funded research from all three RFP competitions. The speakers were the PIs of all 28 funded projects, in addition to The Character Project Leader. Others in attendance included external referees for the RFP judging, the Project Leader, Directors, and staff, the 15 participants of the Summer Character Seminar, some of the Character Essay Prize winners, Wake Forest faculty and students, and interested academics. The purpose of the workshop was fourfold: (i) to provide feedback to the PIs on their results, (ii) to suggest avenues for future research, (iii) to educate those in attendance about the findings of the research projects, and (iv) to disseminate the findings more broadly.
Central findings from all the PI's projects will appear in an edited collection entitled Character: New Directions from Philosophy, Psychology, and Theology (Oxford University Press, 2015).
